Cover art for : Coral and the Pearl Diver from Harper FestivalComing out in late Aug 2009
I'm really excited about this book. I was thrilled for the chance to be able to draw water horses and all the fun that comes with them. I'm a big fan of fish.

Oooo! Love it- Luv the curves. Luv the colors. And I know someone else who'll luv it too. Sorry to be so busy here- need to post some horse pics for you!! Yesterday- the kid's toes were stepped on by big horse. Ouch. Lesson learned tho- BIG animal - stay aware of where it's hooves are.
Beautiful! I love the way it flows. Can't wait to see more water horses!
That is gorgeous!!
WOW! She is AMAZING! I think you did her better then the orginal artist! I love how you lit up that last gem on her headpiece, it gives her that "magical" feel.
Thanks everyone =)
Actually I did Coral first, the cover had to be done a while ago. It was fun designing her, I was told what color to make her. Then I based her around the beta fish with their beautiful fins. The card was based off my design. Thanks, I liked creating her turtle headpiece.
No wonder she is so beautiful! =D
I find her and Jewel fun to draw in my free time, I enjoy adding all the little details.
Is this inspired by a hippocampus of Greek legend? It's a nice, dynamic piece. Congrats on the soon-to-be-released book cover! It's fun to follow your work here.
Fondly, Lisa
