Garden Witch's: Dog Rose

Presenting the final preview image from Garden Witch's Herbal: The Dog Rose. Of all of them, I spent more time on the Rose images. Of the other images in the book - I was thrilled to draw the Fly Agaric (I love to draw mushrooms! =) and was happy to work Koi in with the Reed piece. I really liked working in all the animals and the fairies.

After a bit it started to get challenging (and fun) to start coming up with variations on layouts for the plants. I was really happy with the layout of the Hawthorn tree, the dog rose, the Ivy (little fairy learning to fly at top), The ash tree, and the thickseed Coreopsis to name a few (I linked the ones on the blog).

I hope everyone loves the book as much as I did work on it. I look forward to seeing it!
The author is going on tour and has info on her website and the publishers.

I can't wait to get this book! Your drawings are just perfect for it. Your work reminds me a little of Jill Barklem and Lauren Mills, although your style is all your own.
